Fractured ground
Fractured Ground is a new body of work made mainly from reclaimed plywood — a material that is often discarded and overlooked.
The wall reliefs and sculptures are built from cut and reassembled offcuts, painted and marked to reveal traces of their history.
The series draws on both the rural and urban landscapes that surround and inspire me — from countryside walks to built environments — reimagining them through colour, structure and surface. The works explore the tension between structure and collapse, repair and renewal, inviting the viewer to see value in what might otherwise be thrown away.
